10 weeks down 30 weeks to go

So we are completing our tenth week of pregnancy. Brooke is just waiting for the end of the 12th week when she thinks she'll wake up and no longer be nauseous. She has it double circled in red in her calendar. For some odd reason she is sick and tired of being sick and tired.

We got to go see Nemo (that is the name of the baby until we find out whether it is a boy or girl) on Wednesday. We weren't supposed to see Nemo, but he/she didn't want to be in a convenient location for Dr. Ehmer to hear the heart beat with the doppler so we got a sonogram. Mom and Dad weren't too sad by that though.

It's amazing how just four weeks ago our child was just a bean and now he/she resembles a human. Ok, so maybe it is just an alien. Seriously though, God is so awesome. There is a human inside of Brooke’s tummy! He has created a heart, eyes, ears, arms, legs, fingers, toes, and organs. This human is God’s child and he’s entrusting us with his child to raise. We are so blessed by God and his grace.
